Between February 22nd and 23rd 2024, the kick-off meeting of the project G.O.A.T – Get On the Action Train took place in Dresden, designed as a response to observations of increased apathy and lower community involvement among youth post-epidemic. The project aims to activate young people in the development and execution of their own initiatives. It will include the development of a methodology to support youth workers, the establishment of a web portal with virtual classrooms, and the organization of a call to support the best youth projects in five countries.

The first day of the meeting focused on project management, methodology and training, development of the virtual classroom, competition for the best youth initiative, and interactive videos, as well as dissemination and expansion strategies. The second day was dedicated to strategies for quality assurance, risk management, and finance. The project partners concluded the meeting with a summary of agreements and outlined future work steps.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for relaxed socializing and networking among partners.
