From October 8-10, 2024, Sofia played host to an impactful training event under the Erasmus+ project G.O.A.T. (Get On the Action Train), bringing together youth and educators to ignite powerful initiatives and community action. Here’s a recap of the three-day event:

Day 1 (October 8): Building a Foundation for Youth Initiatives

The training kicked off with a warm welcome and introductions, setting a positive tone for the days ahead. Participants explored the world of youth initiatives through energising activities, engaging discussions, and hands-on workshops, establishing a strong foundation for the project’s goals.

Day 2 (October 9): Developing Action Strategies and Teamwork

Day two saw participants diving into action strategies for youth-led projects, working collaboratively to shape and bring their ideas to life. Using innovative tools, they filmed videos to capture their visions and participated in two essential workshops: one on creating safe spaces in youth work and another emphasizing the importance of teamwork.

Day 3 (October 10): Reflecting, Testing, and Moving Forward

The final day offered participants a chance to reflect on lessons learned, test newly developed exercises, and participate in a concluding workshop. Evaluations and reflections brought the event to a close, leaving participants with valuable skills and renewed motivation to take action in their communities.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants and trainers who made this event a success. Together, we’re building a brighter future—one initiative at a time!
