»Creativity is inteligence having fun«

(Albert Einstein)

On the 19th of May the final, the 10th virtual classroom took place online. This session was implemented by Irina from the National Management School from Bolgaria. The sessions topic was Ideation. She emphisized the importanc and the base of the idea, as everything starts frm it. But within the ideation also problem sovling skills are crutial.

Irina also emphasized the importqnce of creativity and inovation when it comes to brainstorming and researching for ideas. She also streamed a video of where good ideas come from. Irina also went into and presented in detaile a brainstorming tehnique – 6-3-5 Method and how we can apply it in our daily lives.

What is the 6-3-5 Brainstorming Method?

The 6-3-5 method is a structured group brainstorming technique designed to generate a large number of ideas quickly and efficiently. The name stands for:

  • 6 participants
  • 3 ideas each
  • 5 rounds

How it works:

  1. Setup: Six participants sit in a group. Each has a sheet with a problem or challenge written at the top.
  2. Round 1: Each person writes 3 ideas on their sheet in 5 minutes.
  3. Pass: After 5 minutes, everyone passes their sheet to the person on their right.
  4. Build: In the next round, participants build on or are inspired by the previous ideas, adding 3 new ones.
  5. Repeat: This continues for 5 rounds, so each sheet ends up with 18 ideas (6 people × 3 ideas).
  6. Outcome: At the end, there are 108 ideas generated in about 30 minutes.

Benefits:

  • Provides a structured yet creative process
  • Encourages equal participation
  • Reduces groupthink
  • Generates a high volume of ideas
